Computers and their periphery are costly investments. We have come to rely on them as much, if not more, than their communication predecessors, the telephone.     You’re online and a popup invades your screen with a warning message that looks all too authentic, but is it? The most common delivery method for Trojan Viruses today is to attach themselves to a popup window and when an unsuspecting user clicks on it, the “payload” is delivered and installed onto your hard drive. Instead, use the “3 Finger Salute” Ctrl + Alt + Delete and bring up your Task Manager to remove the popup, eliminating the threat.

Most ISP’s offer free Anti-Virus Software that you can download and install from their website. In fact, some will pay to repair your computer if you are using their Anti-Virus and you get a virus. A simple phone call to your ISP will get you on your way to protection. If you need help, I can provide the download and the installation for you.

    Now you would think your ISP would tell you about this free Anti-Virus Software so you can keep the hackers out of your computer, protecting your equipment and your identity, but it is all too common that the subcontracted installer won’t mention the offer. They get paid by the install, the more they do the more they get paid, so why waste time installing a customer’s free software when he can be on his way to the next job? Call me, I can help.
